Rabbits are one of my favorite animals and I grew up with the family rabbit Frosty all my life. My mother raised rabbits when she was my age through 4-H and she’s very supportive watching me follow in her footsteps. When I grow up I want to be a vet so my love for animals is genuine. My rabbits always come first in my line of priorities. I am a freshman at my local high school and have the most supportive friends in the whole world. Right now my rabbitry is located in a lean too on the back of my dad’s garage. Mom did not want them under the deck anymore once the breeding began. I build all my cages for my rabbits with love and it also is a family bonding time for me and my dad. I love going to rabbit shows and the conversations I get to have with my mom I really Cherish. My life is busy and having rabbits doesn’t help. There are many chores and things that come along with them that I didn’t realize when I started raising rabbits when I was in fifth grade. My first rabbit was Mocha she is still my baby girl and she means the world to me. I can’t believe it all started with her and I don’t know where I would be without my baby. She has been through two litters and four years of me being a pest and poking and loving her. Now that I Have eight rabbits Cleaning and doing the chores takes more time out of my weekends than I would like it to but it’s worth it at the end of the day. I come from a family of four with my mom, dad, older sister Brooke and myself. My family is very supportive of my rabbits and my love of them.
